    Sanctuary Cities

     

    As a way to discourage jurisdictions from adopting sanctuary policies and practices, the Department of Justice (DOJ) has proposed penalizing states and localities by withholding Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (Byrne JAG) funds from jurisdictions that cannot meet certain conditions.
