Criminal Justice and Addiction in Maryland
The Abell Foundation seeks to: 1) increase access to substance abuse treatment and supportive services such as housing and job training for uninsured and drug-addicted individuals living in Baltimore; 2) support programs and initiatives that increase public safety and reduce rates of repeat criminal behavior (recidivism); and 3) support efforts to reform the criminal justice system, reduce violence, and achieve juvenile justice. Eligibility is limited to nonprofit organizations located and active in Maryland, with priority given to projects focused on Baltimore City.
