Meeting Evolving Community Needs in Flint, Michigan

The Charles Stewart Mott Foundation makes grants to: 1) support activities and organizations addressing the basic needs of area residents; 2) build the operational and leadership capacities of local nonprofits; 3) provide technical assistance to organizations delivering critical services in the community; and 4) promote the long-term strength and sustainability of the Community Foundation of Greater Flint. For special circumstances, this grant-making provides us with the flexibility to help leverage opportunities and resources for the Flint community, test new ideas, incubate local projects and meet specific, unforeseen needs as they arise.
