Juvenile Justice

The Public Welfare Foundation�s Juvenile Justice Program supports groups working to end the criminalization and reliance on incarceration of youth in the United States. Specifically, to: (1) advance state policies that dramatically restrict juvenile justice systems� use of incarceration and out-of-home placements and prioritize the use of community-based programs for youth; (2) end the practice of trying, sentencing, and incarcerating youth in the adult criminal justice system; and (3) promote the fair and equitable treatment of youth of color who come into contact with the juvenile justice system.
