After 38 years as an attorney, including long stints as a prosecutor, a civil litigator, the Commissioner of Public Safety for the state of Maine and in court administration, Anne decided to stop and smell the roses and “retired“ but didn’t stop working.  She now teaches Public Policy and Advocacy at the University of Maine - Augusta and serves on the Maine Criminal Law Advisory Commission and is Vice President of the Maine Children’s Trust.  She served as President of NCJA from 2020-2022 and has served in various positions for NCJA since 2007.
