In this section you will find links to NCJA’s publications the Justice Bulletin and Beltway Short Takes. The Justice Bulletin is sent to members weekly and features government affairs news, promising practices, new research and other news of interest. Beltway Short Takes is a biweekly email containing links to grant opportunities that are of interest to the criminal justice community.

The NCJA Promising Practice series highlights innovative evidence-based programs that are in use across the country. Featured programs cover a variety of issues including: Alternatives to Incarceration; Evidence Based Policy & Practices; Gangs; Information Sharing; Juveniles; NCJA Award Winners; Reentry; Substance Abuse and Mental Health; Taskforce Best Practices; and Violence Prevention.

Through its government affairs work NCJA tracks numerous pieces of legislation that impact our members.  Our Justice Assistance Table provides an exhaustive and comprehensive listing of Justice Assistance and Homeland Security appropriations broken down by program and fiscal year. Our Status of Legislation Table tracks bills as they work their way through the Congressional approval process.  Finally, we have a number of funding charts that show funding levels for major justice assistance grant programs.
