Reflecting the diversity of issues for which our members are responsible, NCJA is involved in a wide range of issues on Capitol Hill and within the U.S. Department of Justice. These issues range from education on pending legislation, to stronger collaboration between states and tribes, capacity building on evidence-based programming at the state, tribal and local levels, the impact of changes in federal policy on grants administration, education and promotion of strong, collaborative statewide strategic planning, as well as a host of other issues on which we are asked to engage on behalf of our members. Explore these pages to learn more about many of these topics. Also, please visit the National Center for Justice Planning (www.ncjp.org), a project of NCJA which is supported by BJA, for more on strategic planning, evidence-based programming, and the Byrne Justice Assistance Grant program.
