Tribal Government
This category of membership shall consist of the members representing
the government of federally recognized Indian tribes who are appointed
by the appropriate senior tribal official. This category shall be
voting members of the Corporation for the purpose of electing Regional
Representatives under Article V, Section 3. The benefits of tribal
government membership include:
- The opportunity to be elected as a regional representative to the
NCJA governing body, the Advisory Council
- The opportunity to be elected or appointed to the NCJA board of
directors
- A subscription to Justice Bulletin, NCJA’s weekly
newsletter
- A subscription to InfoLetter*, a weekly summary of
Congressional and Federal activities affecting state, tribal and local
criminal and juvenile justice delivered by fax or email
- A subscription to ShortTakes, a periodic publication
containing availability of funding for justice initiatives by Federal
agencies and private foundations and organizations delivered by fax or
email
- Voting privileges in all NCJA elections
- Discounts on NCJA’s national and regional conferences and
forums for all justice practitioners in member tribe.
- The opportunity to provide national leadership in shaping the future
of the American justice system through interaction with other state and
tribal justice leaders and participation in NCJA activities and
committees.

Advisory Council, tribal government, and nonprofit members of the
National Criminal Justice Association. Other circulation of the
