Justice Bulletin: Weekly in-depth coverage of developments
affecting state and local criminal justice. Features include
congressional updates, analyses of U.S. Supreme Court decisions,
research findings, and state and local program implementation and
evaluation. Each issue of the Bulletin focuses specifically on
Government Affairs; Promising Practices; New Research or NCJA News.
Beltway Short Takes: Contains the
availability of funding for justice initiatives by federal agencies and
private foundations and organizations. It also covers federal
administrative items of criminal justice interest. Beltway Short Takes
is published online twice per month.
Policy and Practice: Focuses on emerging
issues for criminal justice policymakers and practitioners around the
country and stimulates ideas for developing and implementing new
policies that effectively confront the crime problems in their
states. Find

Public Policy Liaison: Access to information on pending or
proposed federal public safety legislation and regulations through
continual liaison between the NCJA's staff and key members of the
Congress, their staff, and executive branch officials. The NCJA also
analyzes criminal justice policies and synthesizes the issues affecting
policy development.
National and Regional Conferences:
Opportunities to provide policy direction to the NCJA's advisory council
and board of directors through committees, seminars, and special
sessions on emerging issues and promising practices. The annual National Forum also affords
interaction with federal officials, members of Congress, and colleagues
from around the country. The NCJA’s regional conferences focus on
practical approaches to local public safety problems.
Federal Funding Assistance: Continually
updated information in funding opportunities and eligibility
requirements through NCJA consultation with the U.S. Department of
Justice and its Office of Justice Programs (OJP) as well as other
federal agencies. The NCJA also monitors federal financial management
requirements for state and local grant administrators.
