The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation http://www.foxwoods.com/theMashantucketPequots/Home – is located in Southern Connecticut.  It is one of the oldest continuously occupied Indian reservations in North America. In 2005, tribal membership was estimated at about 785. The tribe operates the Foxwoods Resort Casino, one of the largest casinos in the world.

The Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida http://www.miccousukeetribe.com – has three reservation areas in the State of Florida: Tamiami Trail, Alligator Alley and Krome Avenue. Membership in the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida is open to Indians who have Miccosukee mothers and are not enrolled in any other Tribe. In 1994, there were 369 enrolled Miccosukee tribal members. The Miccosukee Service Area is composed of Tribal members and their families, independent Miccosukee, Seminoles and other Indian families residing along the Tamiami Trail from Miami to Naples. The total population of the Miccosukee Service Area is about 650.

IJIS Institute http://www.ijis.org – was founded in April 2001 on the principal of public/private partnership grounded in the ability of the partners to share in a common objective of integrated justice as a significant national imperative. The goal of the IJIS Institute is to contribute to the successful implementation of integrated justice information systems throughout the country by applying the knowledge and experience of the IT industry. The IJIS Institute has selected as its immediate goals the following activities:

  • providing education and advice on technology issues to state and local organizations engaged in building integrated justice systems;
  • conducting research, development and demonstration projects designed to develop more efficient and cost effective methods for designing and implementing integrated justice information systems;
  • promoting the Industry viewpoint within the many forums currently in existence for setting standards for integrated justice information systems; and
  • conducting training courses and seminars that are relevant for the overall improvement of the technology for developing integrated justice information systems.

The Institute for Intergovernmental Research (IIR)–  http://www.iir.com - The Institute for Intergovernmental Research is a nonprofit research and training organization that specializes in law enforcement, juvenile justice, criminal justice and homeland security issues.  IIR offers research and education services, program evaluation, policy analysis and technical training, and general workshops and seminars.

Justice Research and Statistics Association http://www.jrsa.org – is a national nonprofit organization of state Statistical Analysis Center (SAC) directors, researchers, and practitioners throughout government, academia, and criminal justice organizations. JRSA not only provides training in the latest computer technologies for records management, data analysis, Internet, forecasting, and other cutting-edge topics, but it also reports on the latest research being conducted by Federal and State agencies. Governed by a seven-member Executive Committee, JRSA conducts multistate research on statewide and system-wide problems and convenes conferences and seminars so criminal justice professionals can share information and hear about new research, programs, and technologies.

National Association of Drug Court Professionals http://www.nadcp.org/ -  Founded in 1994, The National Association of Drug Court Professionals seeks to reduce substance abuse, crime and recidivism by promoting and advocating for the establishment and funding of Drug Courts and providing for collection and dissemination of information, technical assistance, and mutual support to association members.

National Association of Prosecutor Coordinators –  http://www.napcsite.org - The National Association of Prosecutor Coordinators (NAPC) is the only national professional association of prosecutor coordinators. It consists of 45 member states and meets at a minimum of twice a year to share and exchange ideas, information and trends that impact state prosecutors. Most members of the NAPC are former state prosecutors; all are experienced in training prosecutors. Additionally, they share the common goal of increasing and strengthening prosecutors' professionalism through training resources and legislation.

National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) –  http://www.noblenational.org - Nlets is a not-for-profit organization that is owned and governed by the states. It is an international computer based message switching system that links together state, local and federal law enforcement and justice agencies for the purpose of information exchange. In addition, it provides information support services for a growing number of justice related applications.

Pew Charitable Trusts –  http://www.pewtrusts.org - The Pew Charitable Trusts studies and promotes nonpartisan solutions for pressing and emerging problems affecting the American public and the global community. Through partnerships with leading experts the Trust conducts research and advances fact-based change in the public interest. The Public Safety Performance Project helps states advance fiscally sound, data-driven sentencing and corrections policies and practices that protect public safety, hold offenders accountable and control costs.
