Webinars on the Implementation of the Recovery Act

Thank you to everyone who participated in NCJA's  webinars designed to help potential grantees learn about the criminal justice funding that was included in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The webinars specifically focused on the $2 billion included for the Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (Byrne JAG) program.

Almost 400 people participated in four sold out sessions where they received an overview of the funding included in the Act and learned how to apply for the formula grants, the allowable purpose areas and how to contact their state administering agency. Brief guidance about the anti-supplantation provisions and the new accountability and performance measures that were also addressed. Participants were also given the opportunity to ask questions.
